Delaying the Inevitable

Controlling premature ejaculation naturally

It all begins with the hips, or so people say.

Premature ejaculation, or PE, is a curious male problem, one that does not actually pose any serious health risks, or even affect the man’s chances of having kids.  What it does, though, is make a man feel like an amateur in bed, and it frustrates his sexual partner terribly, since she rarely, if ever, gets to finish without having to do the rest of the work herself.  Since no guy wants to be known as a one minute man, it would be good for anyone dealing with PE to learn how to control his climaxes, for future performances.

Sometimes, a change of sexual position can really help matters.  The usual missionary position demands a lot of hip thrusting from the man, which not only increases friction, but the overall sensations of pleasure, as more of the man’s body is moving.  For this reason, any position with the woman on top allows a man to exercise more control over the good feelings coursing through his body.  It also lets the man’s partner direct the action.  This is important because it can be hard for a man to stop pushing when he is about to come, whereas a woman can regulate the speed and tempo of the sex to give the man time to recover.

Deep breathing is another effective tactic for keeping one from coming too soon.  By focusing on taking long, even breaths, one can not only remain relatively calm, but also divert one’s brain from being too receptive to the sensations that are concentrated at the penis.  Speaking of not concentrating on the sex at hand, it also helps to think of activities or images that are not related to sex, like work or a favourite television show, while one is engaged in intercourse.  It’s all about distracting one’s mind for a few minutes, so that the nerve impulses get too scrambled to complete the sequence that leads one to orgasm.  In like manner, the medications that we provide at IMH also work by suppressing sexual signals to the brain.

Masturbation , a perfectly healthy indulgence as long as one does not overdo it, is also a good way to practise delaying one’s climax.  Through masturbation, one can figure out what movements or rhythm most easily make one orgasm, and learn how to stop moving just before that point of no return.  Once a man can take himself to the edge and back several times without going overboard, he can then practice this delaying tactic with his sexual partner, first with assisted masturbation, and then afterwards with sex.

Don’t despair if your sex life can be measured in minute timers.  There is a lot that you can do on your own to deal with premature ejaculation .  Take charge now and prolong your intercourse, as well as your partner’s pleasure.
